Base Exclusion and Warehouse fixes

I wonder how many players rushed builds for the super-hop bases knowing full well it was an exploit and it would eventually end. I noticed almost no commentary when other players asked how far everyone was hopping...

Airports? Did I just opened another game?

Can I say both?So who are the idiots here? The ones who play for free and yet still complain or the ones who invested in an unproven game and expected it to be flawless?? That dear friends is the question.

According to this the extra warehouses and upgrades will be removed, it says nothing about other bases being removed, so why is everyone acting like that is happening? Also, it's come to our attention that some players have found a way to work around the 2 Warehouse per base limit. This is an exploit, and has been patched as of this posting. Bases with more than 2 Warehouses will have the excess removed tomorrow, and any upgrades beyond the 8 slot limit will also be removed.

Many including myself rushed builds not because we thought it would disappear but because we were impatient and wanted to get somewhere... As for the distance, 200 miles. I think few asked the distance because most everyone was doing it and thus knew. Just look at the leaderboard and check out those that have territory all over the country. That's how they built it. And for all that are on the list leaderboard, there are hundreds that also did it but are not on the board.I wonder how many players rushed builds for the super-hop bases knowing full well it was an exploit and it would eventually end. @Hav - I've never once said the game is great. I just play it like it is. If the end result is me not liking it ill quit.
I totally respect a small few of the people complaining and am interested in their/your suggestions. Is it your or maybe Saw's suggestion of just changing aquiring over limit issue. Might be a good solution.
Most of the people complaining, IMO, are just asshats.

Both games are unique. TW has airports, GS still lacks an effective travel feature but in no case should be done by abusing an exploit.

I did read the whole thread. I just think it was clearly stated what was going to happen. I don't think would have left out something as important as "by the way a bunch of your turf is going to be removed as well". 👍It's pointless to change it really. A couple of c4 charges and those blast walls come down like any other upgrade.

Do you play video games? Many games have built in hidden features or secret codes for some advantage. Some people call them "cheats", but they're programmed in. This ability was part of the programming of the game. Maybe it wasn't intentional, but that doesn't make it wrong to use it since none of could know the intentions of the programmers☦ĐΣ⅃✪ɃØ$ℚ℧Σᵗᵡ☦ wrote:

First time is an accident and should be enough to realize it was wrong so, did you do it more than once?
-
The developers will make players happy, and keep customers, and gain new customers, and make money -- or they will upset players and loose out.
It was my choice to put time and money into this obnoxious game, and it will be my choice to leave, if it remains so nauseating, and the developers keep making such amateur and off-putting decisions.
Better games will come along -- it's a young genre. Based on what I've seen here, I highly doubt that this game will survive, as well designed games enter the market.

Did the original post get deleted about how do this? If I remember it was way more involved then just tapping build.

I don't think it really matters if this now defined "exploit" was cheating or good strategy. I think the point is that it went against the nature of this game as it has been designed thus far as evidenced by putting the kibosh on it when discovered. And now the integrity of the physical location aspect of the game has been compromised much like airports and easy hopping has done with TW. It will be interesting to see how that gets repaired or if it even can be. I agree that refunds are in order for those that spent if bases built with the "exploit" are repealed (Tib, upgrades, resources, etc). But thats not going to be an easy task to determine I wouldnt think. I'm sure you can tell what bases were built on a X mile build radius and remove and compensate. But what about the others planted after close by, etc. MFP has always been very generous in my opinion in their efforts to "compensate" for issues. I wouldn't expect this to be any different. Give them a chance, people. The sky has not fallen yet.
-
That's my point saw people are pissed about this then then why support airports? This glitch was basically like having airports for a day or how every long this has been going on
-
Exactly, a very polar issue for people. I just don't get it. Make this a real location based game by making it where you can only plant bases where you are physically... zero build radius. If you want to travel virtually with hops or airports, play TW. Why do people want two of the same game? They're already too similar. The other thing that was missed is player balance. Why have agents, besides something else to spend on (which is probably the reason)? Make everyone the same strength an let us battle, remove the limitations because you wouldn't need them if we are all the same strength. I think it sucks that I can only really compete with others that have spent the same or less RL dollars that I have. Leaderboard could still be influence, territories, and disputes. RL money could come from base limits, skill growth, and refills. Now that would bring the action and fun. But I think I'm in the wrong forum now.

Oh, and a public welcome to Pinesap, T/\T2, Birdbreth, Brooklyn, and any of you other big F'ers I havent seen yet who are now in my home city... though honestly I hope you don't get to stay for long. Like they say, having company is like having raw fish, they start to smell bad after a few days. 😘

Glad I only did it on 2 bases, but somehow one of those bases disappeared....
