You seem heavily invested in people getting their comeuppance. That's a lot of baggage to carry around, I'm impressed.Apple will do nothing. You can play this game for free. There are multiple ways to earn free Tiberium. Nick owes you nothing. You will get nothing. Some people got caught up in a inf stampede to start the game. It's your own fault.

Jim there is nothing dishonest with using a game feature that was there for everyone, and seemed apparently allowable because the app said "16 slots" that's obviously to me an allowable feature because the program would have been written to allow that.... .... time, no situations that allowed for that feature to be tested, and not enough playable map to even matter. So to call them out on the forum is just very small minded, bad publicity, and even non-Christian like.
If the dev doesn't want the feature for everyone then he has the right to shut it down, but not to take people's real time and money.

Does he give back the TIB, but tax you for all the free TIB earned by building in regions with crazy TIB bonuses? Frankly, if he gives you back the TIB ( assuming he can even easily calculate the exact amount owed) and you get to keep the build bonus, I think he should give a bonus to all of us who didn't exploit the bug just to make it a little more even.petinc wrote:
That's because we have invested money into it. Here's a solution: reset all of us that used the exploit BUT give us back all the tib, in game $, resources and base upgrades that we used. Also reset the new territory counters. We will then rebuilt our map in the proper way. No harm, no foul.To me, it's notable that a glitch and resulting fallout seems to spark more interest and passion among players than the actual game.

What kind of scam are you all running? You pay for a game, you play the game, then you ask for refunds? Are you guys sone kind of organized App Store crime gang?

Glad we agree on that. Really this whole thread is just finger-pointing and rage-venting, which is beginning to get old. And, sorry, I didn't mean for that to sound as if you are against freedom of speech. ;)Exactly my point. It's a grey area. No reason to point fingers. Btw, I have nothing to do with you getting beat on. I'm all for freedom of speech as long as its not abusive.

Maybe it was a future unreleased feature but how would anyone know that. Ok I'll make it simple there will be no cash refunds. The terms of service are written to favor the developers and we all accepted those terms. Yes the exploit/glitch was a problem and some got away using it others didn't use it for the simple reason it was a exploit/glitch.

Let me be clear: only refund the PURCHASED tib. Tib earned in game would be re earned as we rebuild.

If you read the tos section d you will find the reason for no refunds.

Prohibited Conduct. You agree that you will not initiate, engage in, or promote Prohibited Conduct in connection with the use of our Site or Service, or to mimic in-game experiences in the real world. “Prohibited Conduct” includes:
cheating or using, developing or distributing automation software programs (“bots”), “macro” software programs or other “cheat utility” software programs or applications which are designed to modify the Service or the MeanFreePath experience;

So after a few drinks we can all be honest with each other.....
The feature of having a 16 upgrade turf was a glitch, and we knew it..... However, even as a glitch on the game that was used by many, we are being punished for someone else's fuck up. Ofcourse we knew this wasn't a part of the game intended, but now to lose all turf that we planted as a result to the devs not testing their software properly is out of order.
I don't mind losing the 8 upgrades per turf but to remove the whole turf means money/time/effort lost, all because we found a glitch on the game. I'd like to say as a result of this and how I believe the devs have dealt with this, I won't be buying anymore tib.
Do me a favour and ban me...... This app is all about the money and I'm running out of reasons to play it. -
Feel cheated. Yeah. No-one forced me to pay to play. I took a gamble that this app was going to be fun and had different challenges than TW. The concept had potential if I'm honest. BUT. It's currently so simplified that it has no challenge. There is no point to it. I am hearing a lot of players saying to stop moaning so tell me. What are you doing to make this app worthwhile playing? I'm not paying out anymore. Pointless throwing money at it. It gets you nowhere.
-
The not refunding of the cash is the thing that gets me, it's mainly big players that are losing out and for us cash is hard to come by so why not refund that along with the resources and upgrades.

Obviously hopping was something that MANY players desperately wanted given the mass amount of Tiberium earned by MFP while the Black Market remained open during the debacle. Now take away that feature and we are back to being landlocked with hopping being far to costly with a game that is riddled with problems and the trust factor in throwing anything more at the game is certainly gone. Interesting, everyone better review the list of turf that was created with the glitch. MFP is telling me I have MANY turf created with the glitch even before I learned of the glitch. I'm anticipating many of you will have some rude surprises coming your way as well.

Found this on he support forum- You can try iTunes (on your computer) > Store menu > View My Account > Purchase History, find the app, and use the Report a Problem

Will the resources used to build the inventory and items on the bases created outside of the normal range also be returned to the players that were affected?

Indeed, lets be honest here....
You used the word "glitch" three times and admited that this "wasn't a part of the game intended". It seems to me having full knowledge of a "glitch" and using it to gain a significant advantage, assumes a certain amount of risk when a correction occurs. It could have been way worse imho
