Infinite base upgrades?

  If you were to continue to add warehouse to a base could it have infinite upgrade slots. I added a warehouse to one o my bases and it took up one slot but increased my total to 6 ergo it gives two slots but takes up one

  A base can only have up to 8 upgrade slots total.
