  Having decimated the Earth’s populations before going on what was apparently a long vacation, EDB et al, returned to planet Earth with a new decree:

  Survivor Earthlings, I was forced to save planet Earth from your self destructive nature. Protocol response required me to reduce your populations before absconding to a faraway planet with samples I collected. Yes, I built a planet full of cannabis, but that’s besides the point. Having done so was only a temporary measure to protect valuable assets, buy time, and collect necessary data. It seems that my adjustments to Earth’s population were too extreme. Earth is rapidly getting cooler and cooler as I get richer and richer. Mwahahaha. I’ve now returned to save Earth again by adding a whole lotta hot air and spit. This should stabalize the atmosphere that supports the mutations that have proven so useful. You are most welcome. Further, resistance is futile and your assimilation is welcome but unnecessary. That is all.
