Have u ever been robbed at home?
Forums › General Discussion › Have u ever been robbed at home?-
How do u feel about it?..I was showering once and I hear one of my window breaks I run to see what happens and I see people running ever since that I hear the door open or a noise outside I get paranoid.
-
You should by a gun. Not that it can stop someone from trying to break in, but it should help with the paranoia. Atleast if you have a gun and you start hearing sketchy noises you will know you have a fighting chance.
-
An alarm might be a better bet than a gun.
-
A gun!
-
Guns are a lot more fun.

I have a 130lbs. Rottweiler and a 90 lbs. pitbull, much better then an alarm or gun. Trust me when they start barking it puts the fear of god in most people. (For those it does not, the .45 under next to my bed will bring them to god)You should by a gun. Not that it can stop someone from trying to break in, but it should help with the paranoia. I have two 90+ Pound French Mastiffs and one hulking 130+ pound mastiff.
Trust me. Not dogs you want to mess with. Who needs a gun? Who needs an alarm? Dogs that don't need ammunition and bark whenever they hear something out of place.

No doubt about it, get a gun... I dont consider myself political, but i am a string gun rights individual... A gun will make u feel more secure and give you a fighting chance... If you do buy a gun, please take a gun safety course or make sure you kno how to use it... A gun can be fine and dandy but a dumby with a gun is probably more likely to get killed than an intelligent person without a gun... Also, if u pull it out, be committed...

Between the 2 pitbulls(65lbs extremely protective female and 90 lbs male thats less than a year old) the alarm and guns my house is protected

On this topic did anyone else see the new bullet proof couch on the market? Cushions have straps and can be used as a shield and there is storage for guns and ammunition under the cushions. Thats what u need for home security!
-
My two Shi-Tzus are vicious. They have been known to attack the ankles of robbers with a barrage of slobber from their visceral tongues. This results in dangerous slips and falls by the burgler, and the chance of serious infection if the robber had any type of open wounds on their legs.
If THAT doesn't stop em...my 38 will.

A gun shoots them dead when aimed whereas your giant dogs will cost you a fortune in legal fees when they sue you. Have we not learned that the odds are better in your favor when only one party is left to explain?

So I guess your house is also booby-trapped with slobber slicks in lots of random places? And FRENCH mastiffs, aren't those the kind that give up and hide when the shit really hits the fan? 😂😂😂I have two 90+ Pound French Mastiffs and one hulking 130+ pound mastiff.

Guns will work. But the dog is a good idea I wouldn't have come up with the barking should deter the criminal so he wouldn't even enter.

Thats exactly what i was trying to say... If u never handled a weapon before, he probably shouldnt have one... Thats why i mentioned that if he does have/get one, dont oull it out for no reason... And if someone does pull out their gun, they should pull it out only if they feel their life is threatened cuz people that arent trained or have no exp with weapons are more likely to be killed, possibly even by their own weapon
IMO you shouldn't have a gun if you can't justify using it for self defense. Pulling a gun and not using it just causes more problems. -

Guns are frowned on in the UK. When I say frowned on I actually mean 'Illegal'. I got robbed 3 years ago. Also stole my car😡. I have an Airsoft weapon? Could use it as a bat I suppose. If I threatened anyone with a weapon I would get a longer prison sentence than the dude in my house robbing me.

Not exactly, only in self defence so the robber would also have to have a gun. You should be able to though. It would teach the damn crooks a lesson.YOU wrote:

In the uk you're allowed air rifles, they may not kill but they damn well hurt. You can own them without a firearms lisence ( unless they're too powerful). If you shot an intruder with one it would definitely make them think twice.Guns are frowned on in the UK. When I say frowned on I actually mean 'Illegal'. I got robbed 3 years ago. I have a 'Rabbit stopper' knocking about somewhere. Saying that. Crossbows are legal too but I wouldn't use any weapon for defense. Not in the UK. I think a good old traditional 'twatting' would suffice.Reaper💀 wrote:

Haha, yeah I was thinking something along the lines of beating any intruder to a pulp with a baseball bat.ɅɭɭMᗅNЯ wrote:
