For or against new Star Wars movie

Who's for or against the new Star Wars movie? I personally don't know what to think about it.
-
I'm not sure if they can pull it off
-
That's what I mean George Lucas is helping I guess but it's still going to be a Disney movie
-
Star Wars is the best and will always be the best .
I cannot wait tbh :) -
just cause its disney doesnt mean it will suck. pirates if the caribean was disney and they're pretty good. and jj abrams does good sci-fi. lost, fringe, star trek, super 8, all good stuff imo. ill watch pretty much anything he makes and give it more of a chance than i would other shows.

It's never going to recapture the first time you remember seeing Vader or the Falcon or AT-ST's - I think folks have some expectations that they really shouldn't have.
That being said, it's an amazing universe built on long-standing canards of sci-fi and is worthy of more stories/films.

I hate Star Wars.

I like Star Wars. But I've only seen like two movies out of the five.
I prefer the games and lore to the movies. (SWTOR is the shit) -

Lucas not writing should help. Abrams should do well, considering what he did with two Star Treks.

I had my doubts until they got Abrams. I mean ive liked EVERYTHING hes touched. Plus im going to comic con next year, so im gonna like it for sure, since im sure Disney will pull all the stops at that booth.

I just hope they don't take out all the violence, you know Disney

This is actually the first news I've heard of it. I hope they do a good job

There's so much story to Star Wars after The Return of the Jedi, with the New Republic, Luke's and Mara's son Ben, Leia and Han's son Jacen and daughter Jaina, the Yuuzon Vong invasion, Jacen's fall to the dark side, etc etc. I hope they make more than just one more movie and at least cover the majority of all that.

I believe that with John Williams, JJ abrahms, and today's special effects, Star Wars will once again get the respect it once deserves... I don't like that Disney is conducting all this, but if its the only way, then I'm for Star Wars episode 7... It also (hopefully) gives an opening of new platform games since Star Wars 1313 got cancelled

This. Ther pretty much tied up all loose ends in the first 6, so they'd have to radically alter a timeline, which usually ends up sucking. I'm 50/50 for-against it.I'm not sure if they can pull it off

There are a couple dozen books/book series that cover before, during, and after the movies. They usually do not use most of the movie characters so no one would be confused. Some are after the Rebels take Courscant which should be interesting. But I like Star Trek as well.Squatf wrote:

It's going to rock, too much at risk to suck. Simply merchandise will be worth millions.
