Word. 2 years ago for Halloween I was MF Doom, and no one wanted to sit next to me on a crowded subway train. I guess the mask scared them all. Eventually this cool old black dude who didn't give a fuck sat down. Good times on the way to school.

E=mc same goes for metal. If I have a guitar and a mic i can make a crappy mixtape right now. I know for a fact making a solid rap track or album that doesn't sound like trash is harder then making a metal song

I've listened to many different genres, and though I mainly listen to metal, I'll admit making a smooth flow takes some talent. However, it also takes some talent to write good metal. So saying you could write a shitty metal song with no talent is just as possible as writing a shitty rap song. Anyone can write a shitty song. Talent is the common denominator.

    👆True

  • EastCoastKing

Yea Im jst saying that saying rap takes no talent is ignorant. I like alot more then rap I'm not jst some hip hop lover who hates on other genres. Some of my favorite songs are by johney cash n pink Floyd. Odd crisscross of taste I know

    Lox👍👍👍👍👍

As a kid, I remember the Lox performing on Nickelodeon (as well as A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Busta Rhymes, andAZ). I could not imagine the tv network doing so nowadays. Exposing children to hip hop music is something taboo. I think this exposure effected our generation in a positive way, at least it did for me.

Wu tang = buildin, savin the children. Wu taught me so much in my youth. even now, theyre still teaching. Makes me sad when I hear popular rap now and everyone is fake and has nothing to say.

From the late 80's to the early noughties was when the best rap was produced.. All this fake shit is fake shit. 2pac, biggie, nas, mobb deep, snoop doggy dogg (before he became snoop dogg), dr dre, eazy e, nwa, ice cube, ll cool j, etc. None of this new shit can touch the old school

True, but real hip hop is alive and well. It's just not being played on the radio.

  • *_legitballer_*

    My Top 10:
    1. Tupac
    2. Biggie
    3. Eminem
    4. Snoop doggy dog and snoop dogg (not snoop lion)
    5. Dr. Dre
    6. Jay Z
    7. Nwa
    8. Ice cube
    9. 50 cent
    10. Macklemore ( he might be the only good, new rapper , hopefully he saves rap)

There is one problem with those two rappers though. They aren't mainstream. If I asked someone who they were they would have no idea, but everyone knows macklemore. What I meant by the only good rapper was the only good and still mainstream rap artist.

  • Real Dizzle

    CHALI 2NA

    eDubble.
    Eminem.
    Tupac.
    Marc Goone.
    Logic.
Seriously. Just listen to As I Am by Logic. It's great. And hunger by Marc Goone. eDubble is the best. By far.

    The Typical responses are usually

    1. Old School Rappers like 2pac

    2. Eminem or another WHITE rapper.

    3. A horrible new ghetto rapper, like chief keef
