Base upgrade help

  I don't understand. I'm trying to expand into the next area, but my second base's green area is tiny compared to my original base, even though it has more influence and lots of upgrades. Why is this?

  You probably have an upgrade on one that increases create radius.

  I have the same problem. A workshop costs 45R and I have 97. It's active ( ie not greyed out) so I can buy it. I have a spare slot too. And 5x items spare. It just won't let me +1...
